Ktimatologio S.A. stands by the Greek Communities abroad
Ktimatologio S.A. initiated a new policy for a closer and more systematic co-operation with the Greek communities abroad by reason of the new cadastral survey programme in 107 regions of Greece.
From the beginning of the programme, the company greatly valued the proper provision of information to expatriates; to this end, it planned and implemented a series of actions. At the same time, it pursued cooperation with all parties involved, placing emphasis on coming closer to the “core” of Hellenism, the Greek communities abroad as well as the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE).
This effort displayed the lack of information expatriates have on subjects that generally relate to their real property in Greece. It also revealed great interest in the overall project of the Hellenic Cadastre. Thus, the company proceeded with organizing a series of special training seminars for members of the Greek community abroad about the new and old cadastral programmes.
This cooperation will continue and escalate in order to maintain constant contact and provide updated information for all the stages of the programme as well as to prepare for the programmes that will follow.
Participation in the Regional Conventions of SAE
Along the lines of our cooperation with the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE), representatives of the company’s management and executives participated in all Regional Conventions of SAE, which began in September and were completed at the end of 2008. A special session about the Cadastre and the procedure followed for the submission of declarations for the new programmes was held during all the above conventions. The President of the Board of Directors of Ktimatologio S.A., Mr. Christos Goulas, headed the group that participated in the Regional Conventions of Canada, Europe and the USA, while a group of executives headed by the Director of the Regional Thessaloniki Centre of Ktimatologio S.A., Ms Evagelia Balla, participated in the Regional Convention of Australia.
Training of members of Omogenia
The most innovative action taken by Ktimatologio S.A. during the cadastral survey of the 107 regions is the training of members of the Greek community abroad with basic information regarding the cadastral survey procedure.
The training programme began in late June, when officials of the seven Regional Centres of SAE (Frankfurt, Chicago, Moscow, Toronto, San Diego and Johannesburg) travelled to Greece for this purpose.
Later on, along the lines of his participation to the Regional Convention of Canada, the President of Ktimatologio S.A., Mr. Christos Goulas, decided and announced the expansion of this programme in order to accommodate officials of the largest Greek communities of every Continent. Thus, three more cycles of seminars were held with the participation of a group from Canada -with officials coming from the Greek communities of Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver-, a group from Australia -with officials from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane-, and a group from the USA with officials coming from different Sates.
The purpose of this training was that these officials form a communication and information channel initially facilitating the submission of property declarations for the new cadastral survey programmes, but in the future providing information about the older programmes as well.

At the same time:
- As of the beginning of 2008, Ktimatologio S.A. participated in every major event of our expatriates (Conventions of SAE, Convention of AHEPA in Athens, international exhibitions, like HERMES EXPO, etc.).
- Informational material and special banners were posted on all relevant websites (those of SAE, Regional Centres, expatriate organisations, General Secretariats of Information and Communication).
- One-page entries regarding the new cadastral survey programme appeared in the informational editions of the General Secretariat of Greeks Abroad, of Information and of Communication, translated in three languages.
- Executives of the company frequently appeared in informational broadcasts of Greek satellite programmes.
- Along the lines of the company’s communication programmes, an intensive informational campaign was carried out in satellite channels.
